Mayoor School Jaipur curated a memorable day for its students, filled with vibrant spirit of the Navratri festival. The “Dandiya Party” was a highlight, allowing students to immerse themselves in the cultural traditions through colorful costumes, lively folk music, rhythmic sound of dandiya sticks and energetic dance performances. The event continued with “Dabba Party” which brought everyone together, encouraging community spirit and camaraderie among students. It was a beautiful blend of fun, creativity, and tradition, making the day not just a celebration, but a cherished memory for all involved. The event fostered a sense of belonging and appreciation for cultural heritage among the students.
"It isn't the mountains ahead to climb that wear you out; it's the pebble in your shoe." The Skating competition for Grades I to VIII was a thrilling showcase of talent and teamwork. Students demonstrated impressive athleticism, agility, and sportsmanship, igniting a vibrant atmosphere filled with energy and enthusiasm. It was a wonderful celebration of skill and spirit, highlighting the importance of perseverance and fun in sports.
Mayoor School Jaipur celebrated Grandparents Day with vibrant enthusiasm, showcasing the deep bond between students and their grandparents. The event featured lively dance performances, a spirited debate on Joint Family vs. Nuclear Family, and an engaging questionnaire that brought smiles and laughter. The highlight was a fun fireless cooking session, where grandparents showcased their culinary skills alongside their grandchildren. The day was a beautiful tribute to love, wisdom, and cherished family ties.
We are thrilled to announce the impressive achievements of our students who participated in the School District Tournament - (Under 14 age group) held across various schools in Jaipur. 1. Shreya Srivastava from Grade VIII showcased her talent by reaching the semi-final round in the skating competition. 2. Harsha Baradia from Grade VII proudly secured 3rd place in the 10-meter pistol shooting event. 3. The girls' basketball team made it to the quarterfinals, demonstrating exceptional teamwork and skill. 4. The boys' football team advanced to the 2nd round, showcasing their determination and athleticism. This tournament was a fantastic opportunity for our students to display their energy and enthusiasm, bringing pride to our school and parents. We commend all participants for their hard work and sportsmanship.
A debate competition was organized on Hindi Diwas with the topic “पर्यावरण शिक्षा: विद्यार्थियों के लिए आवश्यक या अतिरिक्त बोझ” which was quite relevant with the current global focus on sustainability and environmental issues. The students of grade VI to VIII expressed their views in favour and against for the subject.
A session was organized at school, by KRUU (a project-based learning platform), with the aim of engaging students in live projects and hands-on activities. This collaboration provided an opportunity for students to bring their ideas to life and innovate, equipping them with valuable skills for the future. The session offered insights into how students across the globe are applying their ideas under the guidance of IIT professors, with the involvement of prominent companies. This initiative is designed to foster creativity and real-world problem-solving abilities in the students and making them future ready.
“A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite imagination, and instil love for learning.” Adhering the guidelines of learned “GURUS”, students of Grade III organized a special assembly. This not only showed their appreciation for their educators but also allowed them to actively engage with the values of hope, imagination, and a love for learning.
Chess club was introduced in the school to engage students in strategic thinking and problem-solving. Mr. Vikram Singh, guest faculty, helped students learn the intricacies of chess. With his guidance, students will likely develop their skills and enjoy the game even more.
We organized an awareness session about animal cruelty and promoting compassionate behaviour towards animals. The event featured a panel of distinguished guests from "Help in Suffering," an animal welfare organization founded in 1980. The resource person Mr. Indra Singh laid stress on our responsibility to be the voice for animals and ensure they live without suffering. Students were encouraged to avoid products tested on animals and to report any instances of cruelty to the authorities, including police officers and veterinarians, underscoring the need to protect animals from suffering and highlighting practical steps individuals can take to make a difference. The session concluded with a powerful message that each of us can contribute to animal welfare through simple acts of kindness.
"National Nutrition Week" was celebrated in the first week of September. The theme for National Nutrition Month’ 2024 is "Beyond the Table". Teachers had planned projects and activities for the students related to nutrition for the whole week. It aims to educate people about the significance of balanced diets, adequate nutrition, and the impact of the right food choices on improving overall physical and mental health. Engaging young learners through these activities can help spread awareness about the importance of nutrition and its impact on overall health.
